Kingsford-Judith A. (Tutas)Thompson, 85, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020. She undeservingly lost a battle against COVID-19 while a resident at the Iron County Medical Care facility, Crystal Falls, Mich. Her family was unable to accompany her at the time of her death and are heartbroken by the devastating effects this virus has on those who are most vulnerable and innocent.

After graduation, Judy and her friends Betty and Lyle moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where she was employed at Northwestern Mutual for a short time. She then moved back to Niagara and Judy was married to Mike Thompson on August 8, 1955. They had four beautiful children together. In addition to raising her family, she worked in retail at Colenso’s department store and was a server at the Blind Duck and Stables Restaurants. Judy was also an in-home health provider for many years. She was an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and served as a worthy matron for the Order of the Eastern Star.
