Obituary for Judith E. Graves (Butterfield)
Kingsford- Judith E. Graves, 72, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on March 12, 1951, in Sheboygan, Wisc., daughter of the late Lyle and Jane (Barnard) Butterfield. Judy grew up in Sheboygan Falls, Wisc., and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School. Over the years, Judy spent time in Pembine, Wisc. and married David Graves on December 8, 1973, in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1998. They resided in Zion, Ill., and after David’s passing, Judy moved to Beecher, Wisc., where she lived a few years before making Kingsford, Mich., her home.
Judy was known for her beautiful flower garden. She was an avid bowler and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Heather Graves, Kingsford, Mich. and Jennifer Graves, Quinnesec, Mich.; one son, Christopher Graves, Kingsford, Mich.; one brother, Gene (Diane) Butterfield, Kingsford, Mich.; one sister, Lois (Jim) Piper, Wild Rose, Wisc.; four grandchildren, Jane, Kimberley, Michelle and Zoey; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Recreation Lanes, Iron Mountain, Mich.
