Obituary for John A Frizzo II
John Angelo Frizzo II, 47, of Crystal Falls, passed away unexpectantly on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Aspirus Hospital in Iron River, with his children at his side.
John was born on April 7, 1975, in Crystal Falls, to the late John A and Doris (Reinke) Frizzo. He grew up a true country boy. He loved the outdoors and grew up fishing, hunting, and riding anything with an engine. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix and/or build anything.
John graduated from Forest Park High School with honors in 1993, where he enjoyed football, track, and softball. He continued to participate long into his adult life. He became an electrician with Hurley Electric right out of high school, where he learned to master the trade. He joined the IBEW in 2009 and was very quickly elevated to top supervisory positions. He was still making superior advancements, even with his ongoing health issues. He was a strong, dependable, and loyal father, friend, and employee to all who knew him.
His sense of humor was unmatchable, and he had the ability to make people laugh even in some of the worst situations. His favorite pastime was spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he was fortunate enough to have taken them all for a family vacation to Italy in November, leaving them all with everlasting memories. He also enjoyed spending time with his in-laws, who were like second parents to him.
John is survived by his children, Andrea (Mike) Hanamann, of Appleton, WI; Markie (Matt Alvis) of San Antonio, TX and John Angelo III (Lillie Stapleton), of Crystal Falls; grandchildren, Elle, Adalie, and Roman; his sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11:00 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls with Father Dan Malone officiating. A luncheon will be served in the church basement following the service. Burial will be in the spring at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
