Obituary for Jo Ann Clark (Peterson)

Iron Mountain-Jo A. Clark, age 74, of Iron River, Mich., passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, at her home.

She was born October 13, 1944, in Norway, Mich., daughter of the late Charles E. and Carol (Lundwall) Peterson. Jo was a graduate of Kingsford High School, class of 1962 and attended Northern Michigan University and finished her degree in California. She was united in marriage to Harris “Tee” Clark in 1970, he preceded her in death in 2009. Over the years Jo worked for Tucson Police Dept. and Mobil Oil before accepting a position at Hewlitt Packard and relocating to Texas. While at Hewlitt Packard Jo traveled the world for office management and company presentations. She remained with the company until her retirement. After her husband’s death, Jo relocated to Stambaugh, Mich., purchasing the family homestead.

Jo loved photography, swimming, creating off the computer, gardening and remodeling of the old house. She also loved to travel to see many friends and family across the country.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth “Lisa” Clark, Iron River, Mich.; two brothers, Charles “Chass” Peterson and Steve Peterson; and one sister, Sandy Wright, all of Aurora, Wis.; nephew, Bruce (Christina) Martin-Wright; and his children Seth and Nikolai, all of Madison, Wis.; nephew, Chris (Shana) Wright; and his daughter, Izadora; all of Madison, Wis.; nephew, Kyle Scgroginns, Green Bay, Wis.; step-son, Harris T. Clark, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two step-daughters, Robin Sims and Michelle Semler; step-granddaughter, Christie Conley, all of McKinny, Tex.; and many caring friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Harris, Jo was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Peterson.
