Obituary for Jeffrey A. Burlo

Tucson, Arizona- Jeffrey A. Burlo, 59, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Banner University Medical Center, Tucson, Arizona, following a short battle with Esophageal Cancer.

Jeff was born August 16, 1960, in Vicenza, Italy, to Tom and the late Giorgia (Gazzoti) Burlo while his father was stationed with the United States Army. He was very proud of his dual citizenship. Jeff understood and spoke Italian fluently. He attended schools in Iron Mountain and Kingsford area. Jeff graduated from Iron Mountain High School, class of 1978. He loved to travel, returning to Italy with his mother and sister several times.

Throughout the years, Jeff enjoyed and worked in major restaurants and nightclubs across the United States, including Naples, Florida, Los Angeles, and Hollywood, where he met several celebrities. Jeff wasn’t a fan of cold weather, but in time he found his dream and settled at his home in Tucson.

He enjoyed his home in Tucson, where the mountains, the sunrises and the sunsets are extraordinary. Jeff was a kind person, making many friendships along his journey that will be cherished by those who knew him. He was an amazing son, brother and friend to many. He was a selfless person that enjoyed life and lived to make others happy. Jeff was one that would take the shirt off his back to help someone who needed it even though he did not have much himself. He lived life in the moment and didn’t care what others thought.

Survivors include his father, Tom (stepmom- Gloria) Burlo; sisters, Jennifer, (Gene) Large, Cedarburg, Wisconsin and Jackie (Raymond) Rangel, Shorewood, Illinois; step-sister, Angela (Todd) Ederer, Wrightstown, Wisconsin; niece, Miranda Rangel, Chicago, Illinois; nephews, Marcus (Abby) Rangel, Houston, Texas, Eric (Ashley) Large, Grafton, Wisconsin, and Dean and Marc Large, Saukville, Wisconsin; as well as two very special friends, Pat Tomossini and Dawn Parker, both of Tucson, Arizona.
