Obituary for Jeffrey L. Basso
Iron Mountain- Jeffrey L. Basso, 57, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
He was born January 21, 1963, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Bouche) Basso. Jeff resided in Minnesota following high school and later returned to the Upper Peninsula. He worked as a manager for Little Caesars Pizza, later becoming their regional manager. Jeff went on to work for Rhode Royce as a manager for their shipping and receiving department until his health issues.
He loved fishing, working on and riding his scooter, being outdoors, and especially the time spent with his family. Jeff’s selflessness was felt by all he met.
Survivors include two brothers, James Basso, Wichita, Kansas and Jay (Deanna) Basso, Columbia Heights, Minn.; four sisters, Julie (Gene) Plewinski, Iron Mountain, Mich., Jill (Nick) Kramer, Loretto, Mich., Jo-Ellen Basso, Norway, Mich., and Jodie Basso, Green Bay, Wis.; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece "Amanda Panda"; and by a special friend, Toots.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by one brother, John Basso.
In accordance with Jeff’s wishes, private family services will be held.
