Iron Mountain- Jami Marie, 59, of Amberg, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, Wis., following an automobile accident.
She was born August 4, 1962, in Iron Mountain, Mich., to Robert and Delores “Sandy” (Sanborn) Lesperance. Jami grew up in Niagara and was a graduate of Niagara High School, class of 1980. Following graduation, she proudly served in the United States Army until her honorable discharge. Jami worked at the US Postal Service in Kingsford, Mich., for over ten years.
She enjoyed being active, spending time in the outdoors, reading, being around horses, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, her significant other, Dwane Rohleder, and her two dogs. In her younger years, she enjoyed hiking and rock climbing.
Survivors include her mother, Delores “Sandy” Lesperance, Niagara, Wis.; one daughter, Bethani (Brad) Champagne, Iron Mountain, Mich.; three grandchildren, Cole, Kaya, and Jace; one brother, Jay (Laura) Lesperance, Amberg, Wis.; two sisters, Jill (George) Lesperance, Missouri and Joy (Brian) Benner, West Bend, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her significant other, Dwane Rohleder.
Jami was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lesperance; and one brother, Joel Lesperance.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 11. 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Pastor James Danielson will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wis.
