I remember Lena as my father's cousin. My grand parents, Lawrence and Virginia (Carpenetti) Osterberg would have our family over for Sunday dinners. It was always a highlight of the afternoon, if Lena would stop by for coffee and dessert! She was a lively, petite and younger version of my Nona "Vir". The ladies would sit and chat at the kitchen table. Before too long they would be sharing funny stories and laughing heartily!
God welcome you home, Lena! Feast with the family, tell a funny story and smile down on us! You have left a beautiful legacy of loved ones here to carry on!
Jane (Osterberg) Steinke, Franklin (Oaken) and Thelma's daughter.

Lena was a truly remarkable woman. I loved her so much and knew her for many years. She enjoyed watching my grandchildren grow up and I enjoyed having her in my life for so many years. She was the same age as my mom and they knew each other for years. My mom passed in Sept. and I am sure they are having a snack and laughing as they look down on us all. So sorry for your loss but I am sure Lena is quite happy where she is.
