Obituary for Evelyn M. Juneau (Mohn)

Iron Mountain-Evelyn M. Juneau, 71, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Friday, June 5, 2020, at ManorCare Nursing & Rehab., Kingsford, Mich.

She was born July 28, 1948, in Marquette, Mich., daughter of the late Ivon and Eva (Leach) Mohn. Evelyn married Joseph Edward Juneau on May 4, 1968 at St. Anne’s Chapel in Escanaba, Mich. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2009. She worked most all of her life as a CNA, and was employed at Freeman’s Convalescent and Nursing Home, Kingsford, and to be a caregiver for many years.

Evelyn was an active member of the VFW and the Uren Cooper Johnson American Legion, Iron Mountain Auxiliary and Grace Presbyterian Church, Sagola, Mich.

She enjoyed quilting, was a member of TOPS, and enjoyed traveling as well as time spent with her family.
Survivors include one son, Joe (Melissa) Juneau Jr., Kingsford, Mich.; two grandchildren, Tyler Joe (Katlyn) McCaully and Natasha Marie Juneau; three great-grandchildren, Brendan, Ember and Owen; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joseph Sr., Evelyn was preceded in death by one grandson, Triston Storm Juneau; and one granddaughter, Jasmine Aurora Juneau; and one great-grandson, Landon McCaully.

Private family visitation and services will be held at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A public reception and celebration will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, Sagola, Mich.
