Obituary for Eldon F. Rochon

Hermansville- Eldon F. Rochon, 46, of Hermansville, Mich., passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

He was born September 16, 1974, in Norway, Mich., son of the late Eldon and Linda (Saarala) Rochon. Eldon grew up in Norway and was a graduate of Norway High School, class of 1993. On October 8, 2016, he was united in marriage to Teresa Stephens. Eldon worked as a business owner and contractor.

Eldon was known for his fun and oh so crazy ways, his heart of gold, and was always finding ways to help those who needed it most. He and his wife, Teresa, partnered together with the Houghton County Flood Relief, dressing as Papa Smurf, as well as held various other benefits and fundraisers throughout the years. Eldon was a man of many characters, always filling the role as needed. Eldon especially enjoyed sharing his life with his wife and family. He was loved by many, especially his “Cuccabutts,” and could never leave a meeting or conversation without saying “I Love You,” no matter who you were. He was an inspiration to others and was always reminding others that “Every day is a school day.” The light that Eldon gave to all of us will not be dimmed by time or space. He was not just a man; he was a “force,” and if you were lucky enough to have known him, you know this to be true.

Survivors include his loving wife Teresa Rochon; one son, Brandon Anderson; two daughters, Morgan and Kayley Anderson; two brothers, Robert and Dave Dudenas; one sister, Connie Rochon; two cherished grandchildren, Breyleigh and Lochlynn Anderson; two nephews, Kyle Dudenas and Ben (Catherine) Gendron and their son, Jackson; and by one niece, Alicia Rochon and her children, Dominic and Sophie.

In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by one sister, Wendy Dudenas.

In accordance with Eldon’s wishes, private family services will be held.
