Obituary for Edward J. Lovato

Iron Mountain- Edward J. Lovato, 75, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Friday, March 13, 2020, in Arcadia, Florida, following a motorcycle accident.

He was born January 28, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late William J. and Theodora (Cazzola) Lovato. Edward grew up in Norway and was a graduate of Norway High School, class of 1963. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force from June of 1963 until his honorable discharge in June of 1971. Edward returned back to Norway following his time in the service. He worked as a truck driver for Hosken Tire Company and later as a police officer for Dickinson County retiring in 2004 after 32 years. Edward went on to drive truck for 2 ½ years with M.J. Electric and a couple other trucking companies in the area.

He enjoyed going on trips, riding his motorcycle, and especially the time spent with family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Foley, Ephrata, Washington and Stephanie (Zak) Stevens, Green Bay, Wisconsin; one brother, John (Darlene) Lovato, Iron Mountain, Michigan; one sister, Linda (Paul) Monette, Stephenson, Michigan; and by three grandsons and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Prayers will be recited at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. A memorial ride along with the Patriot Riders will follow the service.
