Obituary for David Fox

Pembine – David Fox, 89, of Pembine, Wisc., passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at Freeman’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kingsford, Mich.

He was born on May 20, 1930, in Shreveport, LA., son of the late Sam and Esther (Ablon) Fox. David served in the US Air Force. He married Eddie Lee Ortigo, and she preceded him in death. He worked for Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) which gave them the opportunity to reside in many places throughout the world. David moved to Pembine in July 2018.

He was an avid baseball fan, playing in college and several leagues throughout the years. David loved the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers; he was a history buff who loved to share stories with family, friends, and strangers. David will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and practical jokes.

He is survived by one son Paul (Brenda
) Fox, LA; one daughter Charmaine (Randal) Fox—Fullmer, Pembine, Wisc.; two brothers Jack (Judy) Fox, Austin, Texas and Nathan (Margaret) Fox, Houston, Texas; three sisters Marlene Schlang, Texas, Jean Sax, Florida, and Annette Boydston, Calif.; four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Eddie Lee, David, was preceded in death by one son Gregory Fox and one brother Bernard Fox.

Burial will take place in Montecito Memorial Park in California next to his wife, Eddie.
