Obituary for Darleen J Hagen (Thiede)

Tipler – Darleen J. Hagen, 85, of Tipler, Wisc., passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on August 10, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisc., to the late George and Josephine (Ihde) Thiede.

She married James Hagen on July 28, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisc., he preceded her in death on August 22, 2015.

She worked for eighteen years for Kohl’s Food Store in Milwaukee. In 1983, she and James relocated to Tipler, Wisc., where they owned and operated the Wilderness II Bar for ten years.

She loved concerts, snowshoeing, the beach, bible study groups, and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tipler.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Hagen, and Linda (Charles) Nichols; sisters, Carole Schulz, and Barbara (Wayne) Bowles; grandsons, Charles (Jackie) Nichols, and Nicholas (Jenny) Nichols; great-granddaughter, Brandi Nichols; many nieces; nephews; friends; and special friend, Lynn Kahl.
