Obituary for Daniel J. Peterson
Iron Mountain- Daniel J. Peterson, 63, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Cottages Memory Care, Shawano, Wis.
He was born August 29, 1958, in Iron Mountain, Mich., son of the late Robert and Patricia (Harvath) Peterson. Dan grew up in Niagara and was a graduate of Niagara High School, class of 1976. After graduation he went on to receive his associates degree in machining at Fox Valley Tech. Daniel worked at the Niagara Paper Mill for 30 years. He was united in marriage to Trisha Grassman on September 25, 1999.
Dan enjoyed softball, bowling, watching sports, traveling and playing pool.
Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Trisha Peterson, Niagara, Wis.; one son, Robert Peterson, Kingsford, Mich.; one daughter, Pamela Peterson, Iron Mountain, Mich.; one brother, David (Faith) Peterson, Crystal Falls, Mich.; one sister, Karen (Mike) Lowis, Homestead, Wis.; and five grandchildren, Aaron, Elliot, Amber, Jason and Kaitlyn Peterson.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. The funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Michael Woempner will officiate. Burial will take place in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wis.
