Obituary for Clifford Paul Wollum
Clifford Paul Wollum, 73, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
Clifford was born January 15, 1950, in Norway, Mich., to the late Clarence and Antoinette (Sophie) Wollum.
He was raised in Norway, graduating from Norway High School in 1968. After high school he enlisted with the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. Clifford was honorably discharged in 1971 and moved back to Norway. In March of 1973, he was hired at the Oscar G Johnson VA Medical Center as a police officer, retiring in 1987. From 1988 until 1998 he was a member of the Local No Labor Union. Clifford also worked for Fed Ex ground for a short time, and at the BP Gas Station in downtown Iron Mountain. He was a member of the American Legion.
Clifford was a fan of all sports, but his favorite was football, baseball, and hockey. Everyone will remember him for his hearty laugh and caring spirit.
Survivors include his brother, Scott (Donna) Wollum, Pipestone Minn.; sister, Jackie (Dennis) Moore, Watertown, Wisc.; one niece; five nephews; and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. A Celebration of Life will take place at 12:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
