Iron Mountain- Christopher Dean Carollo, 37, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 5, 2022.
Christopher was born on August 4, 1984, to parents Debbie (Zawada) Carollo of Niagara, Wis., and Dean Carollo of Iron Mountain, Mich. Chris graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 2003. After graduation, he worked for the family business Zawada Lumber and became a skilled craftsman. He continued this on and made it his profession as he was a natural talent. He became very accomplished with his work through the years. His goal was to establish his own construction company and that he successfully did in 2019 and founded Christruction Inc., owner and operator. He took a lot of pride in his work, and at the time of his passing, he was working on remodeling his dream home with his dad and son. He was such a hard worker. If you knew Chris, he was always building something or going someplace. He never stopped. He especially loved spending time with his four boys, Chris, Rayce, Axyl, and Asher. He loved them fiercely, and they were his whole world. He loved taking them up to Grandpa Eugene’s camp to go fishing and often went camping and boating with them. Chris loved going to B’s Cafe almost every morning. He became like family there, and know he will be missed. Chris was a beautiful person inside and out. If you knew Chris, his smile was infectious as soon as he walked into the room. Most importantly, he will be remembered for his kindness and generosity towards other people. Rest in peace, your beloved soul shall never be forgotten.
He is survived by his mother, Debbie (Brian) Wiegele; his father, Dean Carollo (Debbie Potterville); brother, Derrick Carollo; and sister, Courtney (Eric) Johnson; Megan Plante (William Cleereman) the mother of Christopher “Little C”; Kendra Alsteen the mother of his children, Rayce, Axyl, and Asher; and his grandparents, Eugene R.
