Obituary for Charles Eugene Cretton
Iron Mountain-Charles Eugene Cretton, 72, of Norway, Mich., passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI.
Charles was born on Friday, July 06, 1951, in Marinette, Wisc., to the late Cecil and Theresa (Chapman) Cretton. After graduating from Niagara high school in 1970, Charles spent some time in college before enlisting with the United States Navy, where he served his country for 21 years.
Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Green Bay Packer, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
He is survived by his step son, Jamie Girardi, Green Bay Wisc.; step daughters, Christina Girardi, Niagara, Wisc., Stacy Girardi, Vulcan, Mich., Wendy O’Bryant, Maryland; brother Cecil (Marcy) Cretton; sister Victoria (Ray) Nault, Niagara Wisc., grandchildren, Jadin Girardi, Paige Girardi, Keyeanna Gendron, Lila O’Bryant, EJ O’Bryant; and several nieces and nephews, special friend and caregiver Ann Marie Cretton
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Ray Nault Jr.; cousin David Jacobson; and several Aunts and Uncles.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be 2:00 p.m., Friday September 15, 2023 at Niagara Cemetery, with Pastor Jim Danielson officiating.
