Obituary for Carol Marie Lauzon (Famiani)
Iron Mountain-Carol M. Lauzon, 78, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at ManorCare Nursing & Rehab., Kingsford, Mich.
She was born August 28, 1941, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Nick and Mary (Antinori) Famiani. Carol was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and a graduate of Iron Mountain High School, class of 1959. She married Roy Johnson in 1959 in Iron Mountain, Mich. She then married Lionel Lauzon on October 20, 1989 in Iron Mountain. Carol worked for 10 years at Americana Nursing Home, Kingsford, as a nurse’s aide. She then along with her husband, Lionel, managed The Integrity House in Iron Mountain for many years, until she retired in 2003.
Carol enjoyed watching football on tv, traveling to the casino, watching her son as a member of the National Guard march in many of the local parades, and especially the time spent watching her sons play football for Iron Mountain.
Survivors include her loving husband of 30 years, Lionel Lauzon, Iron Mountain; two sons, Russell (Mickey) Johnson, Iron Mountain, and Nick (Dana) Johnson, Mason, Mich.; two daughters, Shawna (Lee) Lauzon, Iron Mountain, and Stephanie (Jim) Schuls, Florence, Wis.; one brother, Ray Famiani, Kingsford, Mich.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Johnson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. A Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Don Christy will officiate. Burial will take place in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
