Obituary for Betty J. LeFleur (Vassar)
Betty J. LeFleur, 90, of Florence, Wis., passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, Wis.
She was born December 1, 1929, in Florence, Wis., daughter of the late Lawrence and Irene (Ergal) Vassar. Betty graduated from Florence High School and was a lifelong resident of the area. She married Edward LeFleur on August 1, 1947 in Florence. Over the years Betty was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, enjoyed cooking and assisting in many funeral dinners, baking, and especially the time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Edward; two sons, Robert (Deb) LeFleur, Florence, Wis., and Michael (Cathy) Vassar-LeFleur, Florence, Wis.; three daughters, Maryann (Chris) Voelker, Iron Mountain, Mich., Joey (Chris) Butzen, Milwaukee, Wis., and Mechelle LeFleur, Canton, Mich.; one brother, Russell Vassar, Menomonee Falls, Wis.; four sisters, Elaine Capra, Iron Mountain, Mich., Barbara D’Agostino, Florence, Wis., Alice Westman, Homestead, Wis., and Marlene Robinson, Southern Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Marion Vassar, Florence, Wis.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Arlington and Donald Vassar; and one sister-in-law, Joyce (Jack) Wytinski.
In accordance with Betty’s wishes, private family services will be held.
