Obituary for Anthony Edward "Tony" Tatar Jr.

Dunbar- Anthony E. “Tony” Tatar Jr., 74, of Dunbar, Wisc., passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at his home.
He was born December 5, 1948, in Goodman, Wisc., son of the late Anthony E. Sr. and Dorothy (Doman) Tatar. Tony grew up in Goodman and was a graduate of Goodman High School, class of 1966. After graduation, he worked for the Goodman Mill and then became a machinist for Lake Shore, until it closed. Tony then moved to Green Bay for work, and eventually to Florida where he retired in the fall of 1997. It was in Florida that he met Barbara Goings, and they were later married on March 19, 2000, in Aurora, Wisc. In 1998 Tony moved back to Goodman, Wisc. Before settling in Dunbar.
Tony loved the outdoors and nature itself. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and atving. He was a caretaker for St. Hubert’s Shrine in Goodman for ten years and did raffles and fundraisers for community needs.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Tatar; daughters, Peggy (Dean) Neuens, Patty (Scott) Lieburn, and Kathleen (Michael) Sipple; step-children, Thomas (Tina) Clayton and Jody (Rich) Holmstrom; one brother, David (Melissa) Tatar; three half-brothers, Thomas, Edward and James Kowalkowski; two sisters, Betty (Richard) Swanson and Sandra (Marv) Freeman; one half-sister, Nancy Dulek; grandchildren, Whitlee, Montana, Hope and Navada Neuens, Austin, Sierra and Colton Lieburn, Kelsey and William Sipple and Bobby, Shana and Dustin Nordell; and by great-grandchildren, Tobi Young-Petola, Lochlynn Anderson, Jonah Neuens and Harlow Lieburn.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jenna Neuens, and his beloved dog, Boots.
