Obituary for Cleon G. Allard

Cleon G. Allard, 77, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014, at the Oscar G. Johnson Veteran’s Hospital, Iron Mountain, Mich.

He was born May 1, 1937, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Floyd and Berna (Bednarz) Allard.

Cleon grew up in Iron Mountain and served in the United States Army from 1959, until he was honorably discharged in 1962. He was accepted into the Army Special Services and traveled with the Show Band. Cleon was a professional musician and guitar player and taught lessons in both Phoenix, Ariz. and Iron Mountain. In the last twenty years he spent time in Phoenix and Iron Mountain. Cleon enjoyed working with electronics and was a CB radio enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Raboin) Allard; two sons, Dan Allard, Niagara, and Robert (Michelle) Allard, Henderson, Nev.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Cleon was preceded in death by one son, Mark and one sister, Bonita Ringblom.

In accordance with his wishes, private family visitation and services will be held.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Oscar G. Johnson Veteran’s Hospital for the wonderful care given to Cleon.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Cleon’s Legacy of Life.
