Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters,

He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy
staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest
my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life: and I will dwell in
the house of the Lord forever.

A Friend

"When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares".
