Obituary for Chester J. Turner

Quinnesec-Chester J. Turner, age 64, of Quinnesec, Mich., passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, at his home.

He was born September 26, 1954, in Green Castle, Indiana, son of the late Arthur and Elaine (Strausberg) Turner. Chester was a graduate of Kettle Moraine High School, class of 1972 and proudly served in the United States Marines. On August 23, 1975, he was united in marriage to Roxanne Tomasini in Pewaukee, Wis. Chester worked for several different business, including the Falk Company in Waukesha, Wis., worked in West Virginia for a couple of years, the Niagara Paper Mill for 20 years, International Automotive in Oakland Park, FL for 4 years and after he moved back to Quinnesec in 2006 he worked for System Control as a wireman.

Chester enjoyed fishing, his trips to Canada, Harley riding with his brother, hunting, snowmobiling, going to camp in Powers, and especially the time he spent with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Roxanne Turner; three sons, Nicholas (Marisol) Turner of Florida, Matthew (Heather) Turner, Kingsford, Mich., and Adam Turner, Atlanta, Georgia; four daughters, Jodi (Josh) Wells, Spread Eagle, Wis., Charity (Kevin) Melsha, Dunbar, Wis., Natalie Turner, Shorewood, Wis., and Elissa Turner, Quinnesec, Mich.; four grandchildren, Kylie, Cooper, Peyton and Kylie; two brothers, Gavin (Mary) Turner, Utah, and Arthur (Lisa) Turner, Florida; and four sisters, Vicki (Jerry) Bucholtz, Wisconsin, Melody (Jim) Cook, Florida, Lori Gepheart, Wisconsin and Millie (Alfredo) Nuno, Chicago.

In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by one brother, Tim Turner.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Maranatha Assembly of God Church, Kingsford, Mich. The Iron Mountain American Legion Uren-Cooper-Johnson Post #50 will accord Military Honors, Saturday, 10:45 a.m. at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. David Wilton will officiate.
