Obituary for Corey Scott Brinkman

Corey Scott  Brinkman
Iron Mountain-Corey Scott Brinkman, 30 of Niagara, Wis., passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017, at his home.

He was born on February 9, 1987, in Wausau, Wis., son of Laura (Kotlewski) Brinkman and the late Kevin E. Brinkman. Corey grew up in Niagara and graduated from NorthEast Technical Alternative School, Class of 2005. He attended and graduated from North Country Heavy Equipment School of Escanaba, Mich. in 2005. Corey worked many different jobs; Applied Laser Technologies of Weston, Jarp Industries of Schofield, Appliance & Furniture Mart of Iron Mountain, Pepsi of Hermansville, Mich., and currently was a Chef at Famers Restaurant at Pine Mountain Ski Resort.

Corey enjoyed everything the outdoors had to offer; hunting, fishing (especially ice fishing) and riding his Harley motorcycle. He was a proud member of the Rebels Motorcycle Club. Corey listened to many styles of music, was a follower of the Milwaukee Brewers, the Green Bay Packers, and a Dale Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR Fan. His favorite passion was food. Corey loved to cook, making homemade Ravs for Christmas dinners and trying all kinds of dishes, including making different soups and sauces. He was our Big Soft Teddy Bear and had the biggest heart for anyone. He was currently working on making Shadow Boxes with a friend for two deceased members of the motorcycle club.

Corey is survived by his mother, Laura Kotlewski Brinkman; two sisters, Jessica (Andy) Kannapolis, NC and Sarah ( Eric ); grandmother, MaryAnn Kitsembel, all of Niagara; two nephews, Aidan Morgan and Dylan Erickson of Norway, Mich.; girlfriend, Nikki Ihander; many aunts and uncles; special friends, Kurt Brinkmann, Mike & Carol Frings, Erik (Tater) Armstrong and Carrie Lee Middleton; and ALL his Rebel brothers.

In addition to his father, Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents; Eugene and Ruth (Viertle) Brinkman, Edward Kitsembel and Stephen Kotlewski.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Funeral services will take place Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Matt Settle will officiate.
