Iron Mountain-Gary E. Michaud, 64, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Friday, October 06, 2017, at Freeman Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kingsford, Mich.

He was born November 29, 1952, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Gerald and Rose (Jackson) Michaud. Gary graduated Florence High School, Class of 1971. He worked as a fire fighter for the Air Force, refueling nuclear reactors. Gary was also a truck driver for many years and belonged to the Union 1329 Local Laborers for 35 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. Most of all Gary enjoyed the time he spent at McDonalds having coffee over the years with his many friends.

Survivors include one brother, Terry Michaud, Spread Eagle, Wis.; three sisters, Norma (Gary) Apolskis, Florence, Wis., Joan Mier, and Grace (David) Michaud Hiltunen, both of Spread Eagle, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. A celebration of life service will take place on Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Jim Danielson will officiate. Burial will be held in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain, Mich.
