Obituary for Donald C. Millbrook

Donald C.  Millbrook
Dunbar-Donald C. Millbrook, 90, of Dunbar, Wis., passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Florence Health Services, Florence, Wis.

He was born May 26, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Leroy and Ruth (Carlman) Millbrook. He grew up in Illinois and graduated from Oak Park High School. Donald was a proud WWII Navy Veteran. He served in the Pacific during the war and was also stationed in Okinawa, Japan at the end of the war. Donald lived and worked in Chicago until moving to Dunbar in 1970. He also worked as a serviceman for Pitney Bowes.

Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling and was honored and very proud to be included on the WWII honor flight a few years back.

He is survived by one nephew, Wayne (Ann) Arnold, Jefferson, Wis., two nieces, Kathy Arnold, Fort Atkinson, Wis. and Tina (Pete) Kramer, Rome, Wis.; many dear friends, especially Susan and Bob Atlas and Kathy and Joe Stoll, both of Dunbar.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his life partner, Bobby; and by his close friend and travel companion, Sissy.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 1, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home-Niagara Chapel, Niagara Wis. The American Legion Cretton-Tutas Post #136, Niagara, Wis. will accord military honors at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Bradford County Memorial Park, Towanda, Penn.
