Obituary for Kenneth D. Carlson

Kenneth D.  Carlson
Foster City-Kenneth D. Carlson, 83, of Foster City, Mich., passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.

He was born May 22, 1934, in Kingsford, Mich., son of the late Carl and Barbara (Mielkie) Carlson. Kenneth was a graduate of Felch High School, Class of 1953. He was married April 10, 1954, in Metropolitan, Mich. to Evelyn Buzzo. Kenneth worked for WE Energy for 35 years until his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and motorcycle riding.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Carlson; one son, Kevin (Carie) Carlson, West Bend, Wis.; two daughters, Cindy Schmidt, Iron River, Mich. and Wanda Carlson, Great Falls, Mont.; one brother, Howard Carlson, Foster City, Mich.; one sister, Millie Carlson, Stephenson, Mich.; four grandchildren, Kristina Plutchak, Owen Carlson and Derek and Alex Smithson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harold, Raymond and Carl Jr. Carlson; three sisters, Myrtle, Violet, and Audrey; three brothers-in-law, Gunnard, Sam and Art; four sisters-in-law Alice, Bertha, Vicky and Viola; and grandson, Brian.

In accordance with Kenneth’s wishes private family services will be held.
