Obituary for Adeline E. DeJuliannie (DeMuri)

Adeline E.  DeJuliannie (DeMuri)
Iron Mountain-Adeline E. DeJuliannie, 103, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017, at ManorCare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kingsford, Mich., following a brief illness.

Adeline was born June 11, 1914, in Iron Mountain, Mich. and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was the daughter of the late Anton and Angeline (Attocchi) DeMuri.

Adeline met her husband Lawrence “Gene” when they were neighbors. She married Lawrence on June 1, 1935, he preceded her in death in 1977.

Adeline was employed at the Sewing Factory during World War II and in later years became a homemaker and babysitter for doctors at the VA. She is remembered for her great smile, her wink, her sense of humor, her kindness to others, her love of life and for being the best mom ever.

She leaves two daughters, Diane (Charles) Graham, Hudson, Fla. and Jean Ann (Alex) Ryan of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; one sister, Antoinette Kovachich of Ishpeming, Mich; one sister-in law, Marie DeMuri, Iron Mountain; one grandson Dan (Janelle) Tavela and one great granddaughter Adeline, Franklin, Wis. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband Lawrence, Adeline was preceded in death by three brothers, Guido, Gildo and Geno DeMuri; and four sisters, Rena Anderson, Jenny Koller, Marie Stockero, and Doris Constantini.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 17, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Prayer will be recited Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
