Obituary for Frances P. "Pauline" Senecal (Peterson)

Niagara, WI – Frances “Pauline” P Senecal, 93, of Niagara passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on August 1, 1923, in Niagara, daughter of the late Aaron “Neal” and Elsie (Combes) Peterson. Pauline was a lifelong resident of Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School class of 1942. She married Earl Senecal on November 19, 1942, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. He preceded her in death in 2001. Pauline was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed gardening, cleaning, baking, humming, and especially the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters Sandra (Mark) Burgoyne, Cedarburg, Wis. and Patricia (Charles) Galvan, Homestead, Wis.; six grandchildren Rebecca (Paul) Kleikamp, Kingsford, Mich., Marnie (Scott) Krohse, St. Charles, Minn., Tori (Matt) Chellew, Norway, Mich., Tricia (Sam) Prentice, Escondido, Calif., Annette (Dan) Bell, Mundelein, Ill. and Kati Ahrens, Hugo, Minn.; ten great-grandchildren Tyler Curran, Andrew Kleikamp, Madelyn Chellew, Gunther Ahrens, Hannah Ahrens, Amilia Ahrens, Sam Krohse, Ben Krohse, Joshua Krohse and Charlie Bell; one daughter-in-law Dorothy Senecal, Butte, Mont. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband Earl, Pauline was preceded in death by one son Randy Senecal; one daughter Lynda Ahrens; one brother Frank (Betty) Peterson; one sister Phylis (Fred) Schindler; one grandson Travis Ahrens and one granddaughter Christie Ahrens.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 am at the church. Rev. Fr. Ray Valerio will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Mary Hill Manor, Sue VanRemortel for the beautiful job she did on mom’s hair throughout the years and Joe Stroebel for the gift of hearing
