Shirley A.  Jauquet (Ladwig)
Iron Mountain-Shirley A. Jauquet, 87, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Freeman Nursing & Rehabilitation Community, Kingsford, Mich.

She was born January 19, 1930, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Cowling) Ladwig. Shirley was a lifetime resident of Iron Mountain and graduated Iron Mountain High School with her daughter in 1988. She worked for Merle Norman as a cosmetologist for many years. On January 1, 2003, she married her long-time, loving companion, Clem Jauquet. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2008.

Shirley was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, crossword puzzles and cooking.

Survivors include eight special sons, Steve Wilke, Iron Mountain, Allan (Maria) Wilke, Portage, Mich. and Randy (Sandy) Wilke, Iron Mountain, David (Joanne) Ladwig, Canton, Mich., Tracy (Tracy) Miller, Iron Mountain, Ryan Bartels, Iron Mountain, Neil McConahay, Niagara, Wis. and Jack (Mary) Andreini, Iron Mountain; four special daughters, Tricia Jauquet, Valparaiso, Ind. , Patricia (Robert) Preville, Canton, Mich.,Carleen (Rick) Jensen, Hammond, Wis., and Bonnie Wilke, Sylvania, OH.; two step-sons, John (Trudy) Jauquet, South Lake, Tex. and Clem (Carol) Jauquet, Eagan, Minn.; three step-daughters, Sister JoAnn Jauquet, Gladstone, Mich., Jenny Carpenter, Texas, and Susan Winklespecht, Green Bay, Wis.; numerous grand children and great-grandchildren and her very special friends at Solberg's-Greenleaf’s Bar & Grill.

In addition to her parents and husband, Clem, Shirley was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Donald and Robert Ladwig; and three sisters, Maxine Halverson, Joyce Gardepy and Betty Ladwig; two step sons-in-law Howard Carpenter and Harry Winklespecht.

In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, private family services will be held.
