Obituary for Richard G. Dallapiazza

Richard G. Dallapiazza, age 80, of Spread Eagle, Wis., passed away Monday, June 19, 2017, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born December 13, 1936, in Breitung Township, Mich., son of the late Louis and Kathryn (Burbach) Dallapiazza. Richard grew up in Norway and is a 1955 graduate of Norway High School. He married Audrey Koller on March 15, 1958 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Olmsted Falls, Ohio. They resided in Cleveland, Ohio, for 40 years. Richard worked for forty years in the grocery business and retired from Local Union 880 Retail Clerks. He retired in 1993 at which time Richard along with Audrey moved to Spread Eagle, Wis.

Richard was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Iron Mountain. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, he enjoyed playing pool, was on the bowling league, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Audrey Dallapiazza; one son, Richard “Rick” (Anne) Dallapiazza, Kingsford, Mich.; one daughter, Renee (Mark) Wendzicki, Spread Eagle, Wis. and Kaukauna, Wis.; two brothers, Louis (Lee) Dallapiazza and James (Pat) Dallapiazza, both of Norway, Mich.; four grandchildren, Mark (Cindy) and Shawn (Stephanie) Wendzicki , Cathleen (Joshua) Mills, and Ruth (Abe) Yoder; seven great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Clay, Drew, Jadyn, Brianna, AlyRae and Joshua II; one brother in law, Fred Koller, Kingsford, Mich. Richard was a godfather of three, Jodi, Billy and Joseph.

Private family visitation and services will be held at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be held in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens, Iron Mountain

Pall Bearers will be Rick Dallapiazza, Mark Wendzicki, Clay Wendzicki, Josh Mills, Joshua Mills II, Shawn Wendzicki, Jadyn Koukari, Abe Yoder, Mark Wendzicki Sr. and Drew Wendzicki.
