Obituary for Janet I. Beauchamp (Cory)

Janet I.  Beauchamp (Cory)
Hardwood-Janet I. Beauchamp, 87, of Hardwood, Mich., passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017.

She was born December 31, 1929 in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Grathen) Cory.

Janet never had a bad word about anyone and she raised ten children to be caring adults. She looked at each grandchild, great grandchild, and great great grandchild as if they hung the moon and stars. Janet carried on through losing the love of her life. She kept her faith, she kept life simple and she always put family first. Time to rest easy, she mastered life, “Being both soft and strong is a combination very few have mastered” (as quoted by Yasmin Mogahed). Janet held great love for her many niece’s and nephew’s.

Janet is lovingly remembered by her ten children; three sons, Mick (Barb) Beauchamp, Hardwood, Tim (Jody) Beauchamp, Hardwood and Todd (Heather Hoehn) Beauchamp, Escanaba; seven daughters, April (Pete) Wonders, Iron Mountain, Nancy (Jim) Urbany, Iron Mountain, Diane Parolini, Vulcan, Anita (Al) Mattson, Foster City, Terry Ann (Terry) Lindeman, Iron Mountain, Wanda ( Tim Borden) Beauchamp, Hardwood and Traci (Kevin) Johnson, Hardwood.; seventeen grandchildren; Rhonda (Larry) Johnson, Renee (Eric) Wickman, Jennifer (Mark) Goodrum, Matt (Julie) Wonders, Marcie (Mike Gedvick) Lucas, Kyle (Holly Sharrow) Lucas, Nicole (Bruce) Rehn, Kaycee Militante, Lane (Natalie) Lindeman, Leslie Beauchamp, Aimee (Nick) Recla, Kurt (Jolene) Kramer, Amber (Mike) Lindholm, Nathan (Meredith) Johnson, Mariah (Cody Skogg) Johnson and Blake and Olivia Beauchamp; twenty two great grandchildren, Mark (Nikki) Wickman, Victoria (Scott Nett) Wickman, Evan Wickman, Erica (Chris) Roell and son Dawson, Cory Johnson, Katie, Sabrina and Ryan Goodrum, Carson Foster Wonders, Jacob and Jason Rehn, Nina and Jack Militante, Quinn and Bryce Lindeman, Beau Recla, Delaney, Spencer and Trenton Kramer and Micah, Miles and Aunika Lindholm; one sister, Sandra (Bill) Johnson; and by three sisters in law, Anna Cory, Karen Orzel and Toni Beauchamp.

In addition to her parents and husband, Leslie Beauchamp, Janet was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Cory; one sister, Janice (Merle) Girard; one grandson, Jerry Mattson; one great grandson, Calvin Lindholm; five brothers in law, Fran (Martha), Don (Betty), Honore (Shirley), Bedo (Megs) and Emanuel Beauchamp, and Ken Orzel; and by three sisters in law, Arnabelle (Ray) Paquette, Eunice (Bill) Coon and Lorraine Raihala.

In accordance to Janet’s wishes, private family services were held.
