Obituary for Margaret K. Gunville (Baumler)

Margaret K.  Gunville (Baumler)
Margaret K. Gunville, 80, of Niagara, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home, Niagara.

She was born December 30, 1934, in Iron Mountain, Mich. daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Kessler) Baumler.

Peg grew up in Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School, Class of 1953. She married Donald Gunville on September 22, 1956, at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. They resided a few years, in Iron Mountain, before making Niagara their home. Peg worked at the First National Bank of Niagara, for over 20 years, as a Teller.

She was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church; she sang in the choir and was a member of the St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women. Peg loved watching sports of any kind. She especially enjoyed watching her family and grandchildren participate in sports and she travelled to many out of town games over the years. She was an avid Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers fan.

Peg is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald; three sons, Joe Gunville, Kingsford, Mark (Laurie) Gunville, Niagara and Mike Gunville, Green Bay, Wis.; one daughter, Donna Gunville, Kingsford; two sisters, Pat (Florian) Bray, Iron Mountain and Marge Nicholas; one brother-in-law, James (Donna) Gunville, Niagara; three grandchildren, Tonia (James), Amber (Janssen) and Ashley (Ed); seven great-grandchildren, Marcus, Ryan, Peyton, Kailey, Mathew, Cameron and Weston and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Joe and Eva Gunville; two brothers-in-law, Francis Sielaff and Louis Nicholas and one sister-in-law, Jean Sielaff.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women will offer prayers, Saturday, at the church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara.

A memorial will be established in her memory.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara to honor Peg’s Legacy of Life.
