Obituary for Ralph P. Kuenstler Jr.

Ralph P. Kuenstler, Jr., 76, of Iron Mountain, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 11, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wis., son of the late Ralph Sr. and Bernice (Olson) Kuenstler. Ralph resided in New Berlin, Wis. for sixty years. He owned Mohr’s Automotive Services for twelve years and retired from the City of New Berlin Highway Department in 1998. Ralph was an officer and member of the New Berlin Lions Club and the Norway Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen; one brother, Russell (Sandra) Kuenstler, New Berlin; one son, David (Melinda) Kuenstler, Big Lake, Minn.; one daughter, Gail (Gregg Gilmore) Kuenstler, Milwaukee; one step-son, Richard Morehouse, Middleton, Wis.; one step-daughter, Patricia (Charles) Sneesby, St. Francis, Wis.; three grandchildren, Hannah, Lucas, Megan Kuenstler; four step-grandchildren, Jessica Sneesby, Nicholas, Kenneth and Sonja Morehouse; various nieces and nephews and one step-great-granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara (Michael) Culver.

Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Norway, Mich. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Fr. Timothy Ekaitis will officiate.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Ralph’s Legacy of Life.
