Love you your sis, Carol
Rich, you will never be forgotten. In my heart, you will forever remain. Always look over us and shine on us from heaven. We all know that you would enjoy eternity with our Lord. ”Sleep softly, Rich, rest in peace. This is not an ending, but this is actually the beginning of your new life. This is not death, but this is your birth into eternity. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts and we will always long for the time that we would meet again. God bless you. Love you my dear Brother

Todd and I knew Rich for a short time, but instantly felt welcomed and soon after laughing at the stories and jokes he told . Rich was a funny, caring man that cared for his family deeply , and by the comments an stories made by his family also showed the love they had and will continue to have for him!. Where so happy to have known him , and will miss getting to know him better, but his stories an memories will live on through his family. We will see you again one day my friend!!

Grandpa I have learned so much throughout the 26 in a half years I have had with you in my life, and the biggest lesson in life I have learned from you is keep my head up and nothing is to hard to take on! You taught me to never give up and to never stop fighting for what I believe in and never judge myself based on someone else's opinion. You have done so much for me, but you have done so much for so many and I am so proud that I had the honor to call you grandpa. I have made a bunch of mistakes in my life but you always assured me I can always stand back up brush my shoulders off and keep walking. I have you to thank for the man I am now becoming and I promise I will continue to make you proud and stand by my family through thick and thin. It is going to be difficult letting you go but you will always be in my heart and mind. I hope I can become the father and grandfather you were. Rest In Peace grandpa!!!

Dad there are no words to say how much you mean to me or how much you are still loved I miss you terribly and would give anything to tell you I love you and get one more HUG, I'm so grateful you are my father. I'm so grateful we all had one big reunion at my wedding I'm so grateful I got to have you walk me down the isle and have those wonderful memories with you and all of our family that was there to see you n spend that amazing day all together. Thank you for teaching me to respect my elders and to take the time to open a door for someone. To put others first even if I don't know them, like u said I don't know what they've been thru so take a minute to hold that for open or to shake a vets hand and thank them for serving for our country. I still make huge mistakes n have to continue to learn from them. Wish you were here to scold me or to ask me if I learned anything from my choices/mistakes. Bcuz of you I have a big heart n bcuz of you GOD created me. I love you and miss you terribly. Forever in my heart n soul you will be I will carry you with me everywhere n make better choices n I'll remember to shake a vets hand n thank them. Bcuz of you I have so many loved ones. Daddy I miss you and LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I know your pain is gone n for that I'm grateful. Thank you dad. I am the one that gave you the most crap. Oh and when I'm scolding my kids and they give me a smirk n giggle bcuz I'm trying to be serious I'll think of you and how many times I did that to you and made you laugh when u were trying to scold me. Love your baby girl, Robin Lockstein.....

I was so sad to hear Deak was gone. Seems it happened so fast. The last time he messaged me on Facebook was in reference to Robins marriage. He told me how he was giving her something special and she would be greatly surprised, and I told him he is certainly a great dad. He said "Thats what Dad's are suppose to do!" Looking at all his children and family anyone can see he led a great and fruitful life. He was married to my sister Sandra and together they had 3 beautiful children inside and out. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Deak and all of his family.

Love You Dad ~ If I only had five minutes the day you passed away, I would have had time to tell you all the things I needed to say. I never got to tell you how much you mean to me, Or that you were the best dad, better than any man could be. The last time that I talked to you I wish I would have known. I would have said I love you, and kept you on the phone. If I only had five minutes, the morning you passed away, I'd give you one last hug so tight and see your great big smile. I'd tell you that I don't think I could live without you, not even for awhile. I'd kiss your cheek and take your hand and tell you it's okay to go And tell you that I'll miss you, more than you'll ever know. But you were gone so quickly, One last car ride you'd take. Before you even knew it, you were standing at heavens gate. Now God has called upon you, It's time to get your wings. To leave this life behind you, And enjoy all of heavens beautiful things. So wait for me in heaven Dad, Don't let me come alone. The day the angels come for me, Please be there to bring me home.

Rich will be greeted at the gate by his brothers in arms who went before him. I served with the 458th PBR in Vietnam and got to meet Rich many years later. Wecshared stories, sense of humor, as well as the love of country. We have many similarities in life and will meet again. God be with you brother.
